Provides essential accounting and clerical support to the Assistant Accountant and Accountant. The role involves active participation in the day-to-day financial operations across all departments within the Leisure cluster. The position is based in Chamarel.

Key Responsibilities πŸ“‹
β€’    Take part in training and implement accordingly.
β€’    Assist in month closing of accounts under supervision of Accountant/Assistant Accountant.
β€’    Keep superior informed about all unusual matters concerning any plans affecting his/her area.
β€’    Deliver efficient support and service to both internal departments and external partners.
β€’    Maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members.
β€’    Assist other personnel in Accounting Department as and when required.
β€’    Participate in Eco Standard/Sustainable Responsibility
β€’    Update CAPEX/OPEX sheet and submit to Accountant for prompt verification as required.
β€’    Perform daily reconciliation of financial transactions and bank statements.
β€’    Ensure energy saving (electricity, water)
β€’    Prepare and verify purchase orders against budget, ensuring all documents are completed accurately.
β€’    Ensure that all rebates or discounts are authorized by the Accountant or Finance Manager.
β€’    Record detailed purchase information (supplier, items, amounts) and report discrepancies such as non-delivery or substandard items to the Accountant.
β€’    Facilitate special orders falling outside financial parameters, following appropriate approval by the Accountant.
β€’    Assist all departments in conducting end of month stock takes as requested and finalisation of Accounts.
β€’    Help superiors and colleagues in preparing monthly financial reports for the GM/Accountant.
β€’    Perform activities related to banking purposes (cash deposits/ float replenishment).
β€’    Comply with all the sustainability commitments and practices implemented within business units.
β€’    Notify the Sustainable Development Department of any matters that may pose any impact to the environment and society.
Ideal Candidate Profile 🎯
β€’    Higher School Certificate with Accounting at β€œA” Level or equivalent.
β€’    Computer literate including hotel management system.
β€’    Familiar with Accounting Standards and procedures.
β€’    Fluent both in English and French
